REDWOOD FALLS – Several regional wrestling teams competed at the Redwood Riots over the weekend, with several athletes from the region winning field trips.
Marshal
For Marshall, Tate Condezo placed second in the fall while Dylan Louwagie placed third by decision, Landon Marthaler placed fourth in the fall, Drew Chandler placed fifth in the fall, Tucker Fiene placed seventh in the fall and Dawson Decamp was eighth by decision. Louwagie also won his 125th career victory.
Canby
For Canby, Eli Greenman was third in the fall while Lane Fink was fifth by forfeit and Lincoln Fink was seventh by decision.
United
For United, Kameron Sather was fourth by decision while Daniel Gunlogson was second by decision, Zander Clausen was third in the fall, Dain Mortenson was sixth by forfeit, Holt Larson was is ranked eighth in the fall and Keaton Haas placed second in the fall.
Fulda / MCC
For Fulda / MCC, Christian Kuball placed eighth by decision.
TMB / WWG
For the TMB / WWG, Linkoln Carlson placed second by major decision while Devin Carter placed fourth in the fall, Ayden Horner placed second by decision and Caden Johnson placed first by decision.
Wabasso
For Wabasso, Kayser Harms placed seventh by decision.
Northfield Invitation
NORTHFIELD – The Minneota wrestling team competed in the Northfield Invite on Saturday, placing third with a score of 145. Tri-City United placed first with a score of 182 while Reedsville finished second with a score of 162 , 5.
For Minneota, Peyton Gillind, Chase Johnson, Troy VanKeulen, Kade Lozinski and Jonah Gruenes placed first while Adam DeVlaeminck, Browdy Lozinski and Hudson Scholten placed second, Cael Fier, Alex Depestel and Blake Mead placed fourth, Eli Gruenes, Kyson Arndt, Noah Gorecki and Kaden Lasnetski placed fifth and Quinton Anderson and Sam Myhre placed sixth.
Minneota will compete next Tuesday on the road at TMB at 5 p.m.
Boys basketball

RENVILLE – The Dawson-Boyd men’s basketball team defeated Renville West County 76-56 on Saturday.
Keegon Wicht led DB with 17 points while Brayson Boike added 16 and Levi Olson had 13. Boike led in rebounds with 12 while Wicht led in assists with 11.
DB (6-0) will face CMCS on the road Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

Aidyn Bruns led Canby with eight points while Kortney Leppke added seven and Ryann Hansen scored six. Leppke led the rebounds with seven while Elysa Wollum, Leppke and Maya Wente led the assists with two apiece.

Ty Stoks and Dylan Houseman led Canby with 17 points apiece while Evan Weber added 10. Trevor Gray led the rebounds with five while Weber and Gray led assists with four apiece.
